VEO Vision Therapy Team of Professionals

At VEO Vision Therapy, our goal is to provide exceptional customer service to all of our patients. We take pride in our personalized care and strive to spend the necessary time with each patient to ensure a comfortable experience.

We're a sincere company with a straightforward vision. With us, vision care goes far beyond a simple eye examination.

Dr. Patrick J. Pirotte

Dr. Patrick Pirotte is the founder and CEO of Child and Family Eye care in Wichita Kansas. He also started and created the dedicated vision therapy clinic called VEO. VEO is a Spanish word which means “I see”.

Dr. Ann Marie Sparacino

Dr. Ann Marie Sparacino is the newest addition to the Child & Family Eye Care and VEO family. She was raised in Salina, Kansas and attended the University of Kansas in Lawrence, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Cellular Biology. She has always had a passion for helping children to succeed in school and worked as a tutor for all ages and abilities throughout college. She learned of Dr. Pirotte and his residency program in 2014 and immediately began pursuing the goal of someday completing his residency in Pediatrics and Vision Therapy.

Dr. Sparacino graduated from Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry in 2021. During optometry school, she represented her college of optometry on a national level as an AOSA Trustee and member of the AOA Sports & Performance Vision Committee. Dr. Sparacino was awarded the Good-Lite Pediatric Award and the COVD Excellence in Vision Therapy Award for her passion for children’s visual development.

After graduating from optometry school, Dr. Sparacino was honored to be selected as the 12th and final resident at Child & Family Eye Care and VEO. She has since joined the practice full-time and is excited to continue providing the highest quality care to her patients. Her goal is to provide her patients with clear, comfortable, sustainable vision that allows them the opportunity to pursue their dreams.

Dr. Sparacino enjoys spending time with her fiancé, Todd, and their two dogs, Rocko and Matilda. In her spare time, she loves traveling, hiking, cooking, and spending time with family. Dr. Sparacino is thrilled to be a part of the Wichita community and looks forward to serving families like yours.

Jenny

Clinic Director

Jenny has been with Veo close to 4 years. Starting out at the front desk initially, she is now working with patients in the vision therapy office as well as becoming Clinic Director. “Seeing the lives of the people that are changed through vision therapy is truly wonderful and inspiring”. “Children who never cared to read due to their visual deficits, are now finding out how much fun reading is”. Jenny’s desire to help others also includes volunteering every year for ‘Eye Care from the Heart’ with Child and Family Eye Care every September. Families who have no insurance can receive the eye care that they need free of charge.

Jenny is married and has two children, Ethan who is 15 and her daughter Emma is 12. She recently fell in love with traveling as she set over the Atlantic on her honeymoon where her and her husband Drew explored Ireland. They visited castles, museums and the local breweries. Jenny loves to read mystery and sci-fi books as well as watch movies with her family.

Camie Pivonka

Vision Therapist

Camie is our newest Vision Therapist at VEO. With three years experience and 3,000 clinical hours, she is ready and currently working toward her Vision Therapist certification through the College of Vision Development under Dr. Pirotte Fellow at COVD. Camie has quickly become a valued member of our team. Managing the computer-based Vision therapy program we use, she is always updating and creating custom protocols for each and every patient. Eager to learn, and always studying Vision Therapy, she brings the most up-to-date techniques and methods to our office. Camie brings the ability to genuinely connect with kiddos, a listening ear and a caring heart to VEO. In addition to Vision Therapy, Camie is also a board-certified and licensed Esthetician specializing in Bridal Makeup- she is currently a part of three traveling hair and makeup teams in Kansas. Married with two kiddos, Cats, a dog, and plenty of plants. In her limited free time; she loves to sing, play piano, ukulele and she also paints. Camie is an artist at heart and loves helping children in Kansas.

Laura Tucker

Vision Therapist

​​​​​​​Laura has been a Vision Therapist here at VEO for over 15 years, and she has always felt this has been the most rewarding job she has ever had. She says “It’s a joy to help people improve their lives.” Laura had her own visual issues that were corrected here through vision therapy, and it changed her life. Now she is very passionate about helping others. She has a bachelor’s degree from Friends University, and she graduated with highest honors. Laura is very experienced and trains all of our residents, externs and new therapists. She specializes in helping people who have had traumatic brain injuries.

She and her husband Roy have three daughters, and five grandchildren. They also have a three-legged dog named Liberty, and two cats; Elsie and Tashie. All three of them are rescues from the animal shelter, and they are very sweet-natured.

For fun, Laura loves reading, gardening and doing crafts. She and her husband love to go on weekend road trips, especially to unusual, out of the way places. She loves to collect rocks from everywhere they travel, and the paths in her garden are lined with them.
